Our Vision
Holy Spirit Catholic School will be the diocesan pace setter as a community of leaders (students, parents, and faculty), a center of academic excellence, and an environment of spiritual growth and Catholic traditions.
Our History
Holy Spirit Catholic School began as a school for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in 1965 in the Holy Spirit Catholic Church parish hall, initially staffed by Benedictine Sisters. In 1966 the present school building was dedicated, and grades 1st through 5th were added. The kindergarten class was added in 1974. Significant modifications and additions were made between 1985 through 1988 to accommodate the growth and success of the school. To meet the demand for admission, the school began the planned, systematic doubling of each grade level, beginning with the K5 class in 1991. The school built a second structure to house Holy Spirit's burgeoning community in 1998. We currently have one PK3 classroom, and then two classrooms for PK4-8th grades.
Accreditation
Holy Spirit Catholic School is fully accredited every seven years by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department (TCCB ED) and the Texas Education Agency (TEA), and is a member of the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA). All teachers at Holy Spirit Catholic School have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, and are certified to teach in Texas, or have agreed to complete the requirements as set by TCCB ED.
